The Rapid Strep A Antigen Test is a rapid chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of Group A Streptococcus (Streptococcus pyogenes) antigen from throat swab specimens of symptomatic patients, to aid in the diagnosis of Group A Streptococcus bacterial infection.
